That saw my changes through and through
Never holding back concern
Cordial gestures, every turn


Secondly, your deference
Sincerely shown, though only friends
Respected me for me; that's fresh
The pious never could access


Third would be your radiant smile
To notice it, took quite a while
But once I did, I could not cease
Imagining your face with ease


Fourthly, your benevolence
In gracious gifts and opulence
Dispensing blessings left and right
You're shining forth the Father's light


Fifth would be your love for words
Your own or someone else's, heard
With them you craft your special tales
With theirs, your mind breathes in, exhales


Sixthly, your desire for God
He's seen along the path your trod
His mercy, goodness forming you
And from the old unveiling new


Seventh, your simplicity
Avoidance of complexity
To make you laugh is such a breeze
As are the tricks to get you pleased


Eighth in line would be your charm
You have a way; leaves me disarmed
Your confidence, adventure-heart
Your wanderlust; when do we start?


Ninth is by no means the least
It is your stand for justice, peace
The way you want to set things right
Is something we could talk through the night


Tenth, and last, is how you love
Your kin, your world, and God above
It's all heartfelt sincerity
Such is the way that you love me

The rest of my seven-and-a-half hour tour of Paris was like a whirlwind trip to wonderland with a little bit of a suspense-horror vibe going on. Why, you might ask? Well, I arrived from Maastricht at around four in the afternoon. The sun was getting low and the darkness of the cold mid-winter night in the French capital was slowly creeping in. So, after about 30 to 45 minutes of just being mesmerized by the Eiffel Tower and its peripherals, I proceeded with my self-made itinerary, using the river Seine as my main point of reference. Letdown

It's really hard running into people with a very fixed, one-sided view of things that are very intricate and multi-faceted. Really hard! I can't understand -- if we're feeding off from the same source material and being taught by the same teachers -- why some people still choose to cling to a piece of the pie and insist to everyone else that their piece IS THE WHOLE PIE! This is probably the reason why the body of Christ is as fractured as it is today: too many people upholding one biblical truth and taking it to the extreme... mowing down other truths AND PEOPLE in their wake. I once taught about this during one of our services, echoing what I have learned from my pastor (and from other pastors online and off) that there is a danger in going to extremes when it comes to scriptural principles.
